It must not flex!!! It needs to be proper rating.. and can handle the WD torque / leverage and tongue weight..

Seriously.. there are ways to test...

I think there were some issues with hitches...

I think there were some issues with hitches around that time... the hitch MUST NOT flex!! Check for cracks on edges where the mount plates weld...
