got the dome lid off, its very brittle but...

got the dome lid off, its very brittle but amazingly does not leak. I am fixing it with sealant and fibertape. The Krylon fusion to paint it white.

I am trying to remove the astro solar dome lid to repair it, but not sure where to pry the metal apart to release it...I don't want to breaak the lifters...
Is it inside by the lifter, or outside...

My 66 had cord tied from one to another when I...

My 66 had cord tied from one to another when I got it. Of course I removed the cord. The front of the big dome vent began to rise next trip out... bungee helped.
