The brass screw and barrel nut, have what is called a "double start" thread.

That complicates the matter.

You can add double sided tape, or you can squeeze them together, or both if you wish, your choice.

Our window clips are bright and shiney, not dull...

The part that reaches out to grab the window...

The part that reaches out to grab the window clip, has not been available for almost 20 years.

Molds can be made for $20,000.00 or more.

That part would then have to sell for real big bucks.
