How can they have misaligned a head gasket? There should be alignment pins and if not the head bolts should position the gasket.

I am about to put my 6.0 Ford in for head gasket problems and sure...

Very interesting point about the air compressor....

Very interesting point about the air compressor. It should be a very easy test to test the coolant side of the compressor for an air leak. Such a failure could move a gallon of coolant in 100 miles.
