They got about 6" wider with the introduction of the 1969 model, IIRC, then again in the 90's? with the wide body. FWIW my 75 and 81 are the same width, they are a bit narrower than my fullsized...

It is going to depend on the interior layout, but it shouldn't be more than about 26'-6" and perhaps a foot or so less if it has a rear trunk.
