Even with all of the dead trees, the last picture does show a surprising amount of green undergrowth. Nature has a way of coming back even in the bleakest times.

I don't know much about the fail open thermostats but my 2001 Ford Ranger uses that style. I will add that this thermostat fails more often than not. Not sure if it's a design flaw or poor...

Your dash AC control is totally different than the 84 and later coaches. The later ones used a Chrysler/Dodge control unit that is more or less a piece of junk. Well, at least junk in the way...

Interesting. When I rebuilt the doghouse in Peanut it had a cover like yours but the gasket was nothing like in you picture. Makes me wonder if that was some POs handywork to Peanut.

If I remember right your gasket lays in a flat channel. The later covers have a gasket that fits over a lip. If your gasket fits over a lip then it might work on the later covers.
