The GMC 1500 6.2L has a 3.42 ratio 8 speed transmission. The 5.3L has a 6 speed transmission and I don't know what the ratio is.

I used to have a 2011 tacoma but then went to the GMC Canyon because I didn't want to wait for the new style tacoma. I would imagine the Tundra with the 5.7L is more expensive than GMC/Chevy...

Thanks Caffeined. 30-35 mph is pretty slow. Probably for my intended mountain pass driving the 6.2L gas is a minimum.

I love aluminum but not in a truck! 20% towing and 80% commuting through mountain passes with lots of deer on the road. Haven't hit any yet but lots of close calls.
