I used aluminum tubing and flat straps with a diamond plate cover all purchased at Home Depot. Everything is held together with pop rivets including a piano hinge.

I just had to replace my claw. I ordered it from airstreamsupply.com in SLC. It was easy to install. I used a little baling wire to tie the arm to the support while we drove home.
