lift it off

after you have unscrewed it you must lift it up and off.
i have removed mine several times.. my porcelain burner is cracked..
maybe your burner is dirty or clogged and that is causing it to leak at...

when i got my 63 globetrotter, i did not have the keys for the locks on storage compartments..(or the door) i drilled the compartment locks out and removed them. went to my local locksmith shop...
