Same here. If I lower the jack to take pressure off the TV I usually put a wheel chock on the driver's side floor. That way I know not to drive off without first raising the jack.

Toyota makes a nice truck but I'd look at a 3/4 ton as well. I think you'll find the numbers just a bit more foregiving.

If you want the 8' bed to have an 8' bed go for it. But having towed both a 25 and 30 with an f150 and now f250 6.2 I can say for sure the regular bed f250 is more than adequate. I'm quite pleased...

When I get a chance I'll snap a pic for you. I only carry the big ladder because I had it. It's one of those 4 section ladders that opens like an A. Heavy but makes getting on the roof really easy.
