Pop Up

Try a small pop up trailer like an A Liner or a Chalet with the Rav. That is much more it's speed. With the low profile it will tow a lot better behind a little SUV or Subaru Outback.

GMC and Chevy Colorado are out with new trucks. They haven't been raod tested yet but the rating is 7000 on paper. Time will tell how accurate that number is.

Engines lose power over the years so while your Luv on paper towed 5600 lbs. in 1981 it doesn't now. I wouldn't even try towing a 16 ft Bambi Sport with it. I wouldn't try towing anything heavier...
