Refrigerator Works Now

After replacing the calrod the refrigerator works like new !

Refrigerator issues Dometic RM2811

We just purchased a 1983 Airstream with a Dometic refrigerator.
When I try to run it on AC power it automatically switches to LP after a min or so.
I checked the fuses & heating element for voltage...
