i would take it to the ford shop its under warranty they should replace the hitch since thats not a stress fracture its a flaw in the weld if they wont then go to a weld shop they will redo the welds...

i dont think you will have a problem as long as you have trailer brakes i have a 30 foot and i pulled it with a 92 half ton with no problem. And my brother has a 27 ft 5th wheel he pulls with a 2000...
