Anyone know what would be the result of bypassing the vacuum break (I believe that's what it is called) on the toilet in my 68 Ambassador? I was thinking of hooking the line from the water valve...

Well folks I appreciate the efforts, but, it is not the overhead bins. Hardware on them is fine. It is the bin that attached underneath the overhead bins. An aircraft style storage compartment

Here's a pic of one of the two latches, one on each end of the bin. They latch onto something, but I can't visualize what it could possibly be.
