I prefer Noctua

In my experience, the Noctua fans are as quiet as the Silenex fans, just as reliable, and significantly less expensive: Amazon.com: noctua (https://amzn.to/1iMZZwJ.)

I've had them in my rig for...

I really like the Noctua NF-S12B (https://amzn.to/1PgRY1N) fans. They are the 120 mm, and should be the same size as your fan. They're quieter and less expensive than Silenex.

They probably will...

Your new fan...

If it's a 12 volt fan, you can just splice the wires. If the fan runs backwards, reverse them. Disconnect the battery before wiring it. Otherwise, if you short across the hot and neutral fan wires,...

I would *strongly* recommend against doing that. Many RV fires have been caused by overheated fridges. The Norcold 1200, for example, has had three recalls due to fires. These are propane fires that...

On my Norcold 1200, there were 2 OEM fans, 120 CFM each IIRC.

Because they are DC fans, hooking the wires up the wrong way shouldn't blow the fuse, but the fan will run backwards. Since the wires look the same, make sure the air is coming out the correct side...

Any 12V source should do.

If the fans work when you supply power, I'd suspect your thermal sensor. It should be clamped to one of the cooling tubes or on the end of the upper cooling fins. The...

When I did mine I blew the glass fuse on the fridge's circuit board. The fuse looked ok but my continuity tester indicated that it was blown.

Just take a wire with two alligator clips (or just bare ends if you're careful not to touch a ground with them) and short across the two sides of the temperature sensor. It should be either set into...
