I just did our 12v Starlink conversion using the Yoasheng adapters. Very easy, the hardest part was getting the 12v to 48v converter (I now have two versions). Works very well.

When I upgraded my spare to 16 I had the same issue. A guy at a tire store took a short piece of pipe, put it over each of upward prongs around the tire and bent them a bit wider. Fits great.
