Suggestions for upgrading electrical system for my 68 Ambassador ?

I have a 68 Ambassador and have recently gutted the interior and would like to upgrade the electrical system while I'm at it.

68 Ambassador door mechanism broken + won't open from outside.

The outside door handle on my 68 Ambassador is extremely loose and will not open the door. I've tried pushing in and pulling while twisting the knob, etc... and after about 15 minutes and about to...
