We had the same problem on our Tommy Bahama 27. Made the same repair. Several long trips since and it has held just fine.

Not a complicated repair, just very awkward to access the clips.

Isn’t there a fuse on the brake circuit? I have a 2018 Tommy Bahama 27 front bedroom. Should be wired pretty much the same as a fc. It has a fuse in the battery box that I think is for the brakes.

The only problem we've had is when opening it sometimes only goes a foot or two, reverses and stows itself.
