Remove mattress and you will see screws around the edge and once in a while, in the middle. Remove those and the bed top comes off. Very easy.

If it's happening all the time something might be up with the pump and pressure switch.

As others have said, the conv and batt terminals are connected on the PCB so it doesn't really matter which is which....

I'd have loved to use the 24 gauge AND epoxy but that would have tripled the cost of the copper...
