So, why not call Airstream & give them your VIN number & let them know about the modifications you have made.....then call your insurance company & talk to your agent.... let your agent know about...

Under normal driving conditions towing a trailer;
The towing vehicle is rated for the trailer being towed, the electric trailer brakes (if so equipped from the factory) are in good operating...

It appears the unit you went to pick up was on consignment at the retail Dealership you mention.

It seems it would have been in the interest of the Dealership to have detailed the trailer before...

Does your "friend" also have the qualifications to re-certify the motorhome so that it meets or exceeds the minimum required electrical standards that the manufacturer had to comply with?
