well ive asked around and everyone says to keep the aluminum inner skin ... i will order all new metal ... and do from scratch ... it will also have that nice new fresh look ... all shinny ....lol

DONE - and WOW it FITS

OK ... so I dropped my shell back on to my frame ... cut the back curve perfect in one shot using the new channel as template. I had to use spackle knives and some scrap tin to slide the corners over...
