Airstream Registry
Airstream Name Kitty. May become Camelot.
Year 1954
Make Airstream
Model Cruiser
Length 25'
Options Most everything I could think of . . .
1954 Airstream Cruiser 1954 Airstream Cruiser
Overview Interior totally new. Completely new sub-floor ply, Cherry cabinetry, all new 120v/12v wiring, new stove/oven combo, a little microwave, new 3-way fridge, new water pump / water heater / furnace / black, gray & fresh water tanks. Flexsteel sofa recovered, large wet bath, large rear E/W bed, window added streetside between the door & bedroom for additional natural light + addition of nice counter top area & storage drawers below, wall mounted thin screen TV with sat & blue tooth wired in, marmoleum floor (gorgeous if I do say so myself :~). Oh, and a 15,000 btu AC with a heat strip.
Exterior
Exterior skins were / are in great shape. One small hole in the front had to be patched. Some (maybe) filoform to try to polish out. Some deep scratches in front that I hope will polish out. But, she is now 58, soon to be 59 years old. I'm not adverse to evidence of lots of joy given and memories made. And so far life well lived now with many more to come!!

Interior
Screwed up - See Overview above.

Customization
Most everything inside.

Systems and Running Gear
Upgraded to 16" wheels & Michelin tires. Thank goodness no more Marathons!!

Other Information
Basically, I like to think Wally would recognize the outside, other than the 15,000 btu AC I added. But I also think Wally would have incorporated such an AC if it had been on the market in 1954 ("we don't make changes for the sake of change, only for the sake of improving . . ." or something close to that. Inside? The only thing original are the interior skins & the now-shined-up vent hood & the vent motor. All that is left to do is for me to do a complete mirror polish job :~(

Can you tell I love this trailer??
