It's FINALLY finished
10 months and hundreds of hours, but I'm actually done. Took off on my first trip to Rockport, TX with my Great Dane (Moose). All has gone well. For all in the process ... It's so worth it. I'm a Happy Camper:)

Where is the Moose?
Trailer looks STUNNING...
But I want to see a picture of your Moose too... Why? Cos we have a dog called Moose too! Her papers say Great Dane/American Stafford... but who really knows or cares! She was named after Moosetracks Icecream... cos she is a Caramel coloured Swirly Girly! Our Moose at the Beach.. http://www.airforums.com/attachments...c4d54e6c40.jpg |

esmaytum,
Trailer looks great. We also have a twin middle, with rear bath. What did you use on the front? Is that a truck bed treatment (like rhino liner) or something? And where did you go in Rockport? We tend to end up at Goose Island State Park. |
I always look for you all (A/S owners, not just VK) on the roads as I make my trips in and around South Texas for work. Haven't seen any polished ones (not like this one) but I keep my hopes up.
And a word to any: used to be that running the back roads south of San Antonio to get to the coast was a pleasent change from Interstate traffic. I'd advise against it any longer as the Eagle Ford oil shale boom has changed the complexion of those roads for the worst: heavy traffic, torn up roads and truck drivers in a hurry (thinking of TX-181, 123, etc south from Austin, San Marcos, etc.) If it intersects TX-72 (from Cotulla -- actually TX-97 at that point -- on past Cuero to TX-77 in Halletsville [see map]) then take it off your list, please. . |
Awesome job!
But, even after 10 months, and thousands of hours (not to mention dollars) I'm just going to tell you that you will never be really done. There's always another something else! Great job!:flowers:

Red,
Within 3 weeks you should keep an eye out for my polished beuty while running through San Antonio. Steve |
No kidding about the traffic. We avoid that mess at all cost. Its really changed.
|
It looks fantastic! Congratulations.

Nice RV park in Rockport
We are staying the month at Coastal Oaks. It is super nice. Big cement pads. Clean and well kept. It's about 3 miles from Rockport beach off Market st. There some questionable ones on the way to it so don't panic if you stay there. Nice pool, hot tub, and club house too.

That was there when I got it. It is a wrap made out of fiberglass. It had some cracks so I used bondo to repair it then just painted silver. It was riveted on with big rivets and would have left big holes so I just went with it.
|
Wow, it looks amazing! Great job! :)
