1974 31' Sovereign entry door
Hi! I'm new to the forums. My husband and I live in Alaska and we just purchased a 1974 31' Sovereign. The previous owners had it on a homestead about 30 miles from us and apparently a few winters ago a hungry mama grizzly managed to get its claws under the bottom edge of the entry door. The door is bent up pretty bad from her prying it up and the previous owners created their own "locks" on the door after they bent it back down. Is there any place that makes replacement doors? What would be our best bet to fix the door? We'll be living out of the trailer for a little bit while we are closing on a new house and we'd like it to be better sealed from the elements. Thanks!

Two options come to mind:

1) Disassemble the door (remove the inner and outer skins) bend the door frame back into shape, possibly add some aluminum angle for bracing if necessary, then rivet the old outer skins back on and add some new skins to the inside.

2) Find a door. There are a couple of AS salvage yards around, one in MO and one in CO. Colaw's is the one in MO not sure where the one in CO is.

I did it several years ago, agree take off inner and outer skins, take a 2x6 and scribe the shape of the door frame on the trailer, cut it and use it as clamp, photos should help

Thank you both! I think we can manage this easy-peasy!
