Electrical receptacle in storage compartment
Where is the best place for me to "catch" a 120 supply so that I can have a permanent receptacle in a storage compartment.

It would be handy to be able to charge my portable electric drill batteries in a storage compartment. Brenda cannot see it on the bathroom vanity or in the bedroom on the nightstand. :)

Is this a bad idea?

My refrigerator had a duplex outlet with only the one side used. Could you snake a short extension cord from it to a cabinet?

Make sure you use watertight conduit, box, etc. if you do use the storage compartment.

Three Way ...
I use an orange grounded three way spliter that connects to my
extension cord (Just before the conversion plug to the RV type socket)

This allows me to use a trickler battery charger that is kept in the
"one stop service center".

THis allows me to run my trailer on 110v and make sure I don't overcharge the battery. (When not on solar with controller)

No reason you couldn't plug in your tools there with a similar setup.

I keep all the rechargable stuff on the credenza behind the TV... almost directly under the smoke detector. I don't think I'd keep one in a compartment. Besides that, it's probably not good for the batteries if you forget them there.

That being said, there's a door in the rear compartment (queen bed) which is probably in the street side compartment on twin beds, where the power cable comes in. From there, power runs up to the circuit breaker box in the overhead. You might be able to fish some romex up to the breaker box and tie in for an oulet in the storage compartment.

Thank you guys for the suggestions/advice. The credenza idea sounds the least invasive--read that as my not lousing up the tt. :)
