Radiator Repair

I was screwing the temp sensor into my radiator and put too much pressure on it and now have a hole in my radiator about the size of a quarter.

I was going to try JB weld, but thought I would see if there were some other options I was not aware of. Are there?

Take it out. Get a brass freeze/core plug (the dished ones, not the cup shaped ones) bigger than the hole, pound it flat and solder it in place. Be careful not to overheat the rest of the assembly.

Head South.

:) Hi, from Buena Park, head South on Beach Blvd and there are two really good radiator shops. [In Stanton]

Go to radiators.com and buy a new one (with metal end caps) so that you won't be stuck beside the road outside of Gila Bend, AZ in August with a glowing red engine.
