Miles per Gallon?

What is your MPG? I have 2003 1500 Avalanche W/1977 31 Sovereign In Fla. on flat roads Interstate I am getting 11.3 mpg. Driving 63 miles per hour (on the gps) 65 indicated.

I am getting 10.5 mpg on a 2005 Suburban 2500 with the 6.0 liter gas engine pulling a 2005 25' Safari at 70 mph.

Towing I get 12.5 with our F250, with a T420 diesel @ 60 mph.

We're getting 12.5 to 13 mpg travelling at 55 to 60 mph. Regular unleaded gas. Both TV and AS are 5,300 pounds dry each.

I'll let you know when I get to Fla in Jan.

I'm really afraid to find out with this 8.1:lol:

I follow the don't-ask-don't-tell policy on this one. The answer would, I'm afraid, just be too depressing.

Getting about 10 mpg on a 3/4 ton GMC passenger van with 6.0 liter engine and 4.10 axle. Pulling a heavy 30' Classic slideout at 60 mph. About 13 mpg without the trailer.

2006 Tahoe 5.3 towing our safari; 6,317 miles out to Yellowstone and back using exactly 513 gallons of fuel averages 12.3 MPG. Of course going up the Big Horn I think we were getting about 3 MPG!

Tin Can 12-08-2006 11:36 AM

I am getting a second job soon so I can pay for the fuel we use. I am towing with a dodge ram 2500 with the 5.7 liter hemi and tow a classic 31 ft. I average 7-8 mpg.

GreggH 12-08-2006 11:47 AM

We're getting 12-13mpg with our F250 PSD towing the 31'. When we're on the flats along the east coast we've gotten close to 14mpg. Better than our previous diesel moho.

We get 13-15 at 65-70 depending on the wind and terrain and how much traffic I'm holding up going up the big hills. We held 70+ coming into Knoxville from the north, passed RV's and 18 wheelers just for the fun of it. I love the turbo Cummins!

Phil - I have a 2004 Avalanche 5.3L and get about 14.8 around town, about 17.5 on the interstate, about 11 when towing our 28'er. Like you, that's on these flat Florida roads. BH
