1968 Sovereign Window

Hey folks! I am in desperate need of a curb side window for my 68 Sovereign 30. It is the single window that is curved measuring 20.5x39. Does anyone have one that I can purchase? VTS is out of stock and not sure when they will get more in. Please let me know!

Thanks,

Matt

Matt,

I'm looking for a window too. I need the street side "panoramic" curved window for an Argosy. I've tried 22 different RV salvage outfits and no luck. Lets keep looking. Also, I plan to investigate getting a custom window fabricated.

The 66, 67, 68 trailers had those special Corning frameless curved glass windows. They were made thin and offered the Airstream more "sleekness". They are hard to obtain. VTS is a common source. Maybe Inland or Out of Doors Mart may be able to help. Some folks have used Lexan as a temporary alternative.

The 76 Argosy trailer ought to have a "regular" Airstream window. That one should be easier to find.

Thanks for your post. These non-tinted windows are very hard to find. I have temporarily installed a Plexiglas window but the window is not curved vertically and it doesn't look as good as the curved original window. I have received one quote to custom fabricate a replacement at $1400.00.

I have a 68 Overland, I had to replace one of my curb side windows and got the replacement at Vintage Trailer Supply it fits well. The plexiglass will work temporarily, however, the curve of the trailer will put a strain on the plexiglass and it will eventually brake. That is what happened with the peace someone else had put in my camper before I bought it. The plexiglass broke even with the hinge.

68 overland window

Looks like we are searching for different windows. The 68 Overland does not (as far as I can tell) have the panoramic front window that is on the 76 Argosy.
