Basecamp

I have a 2017 Basecamp
I had trouble getting the table off the pedestal
and solved the problem by adding a extra O ring to the table.

I had an issue getting the table off the small posts after sleeping on them. I removed the post with the table attached, flipped it upside down on the cushion and put my knee on the bottom the table. Then I pulled up firmly with one hand while tapping the sides of the post with the palm of my other hand.

It took a little patience, and you don't want to hit the post so hard you damage it, but the post came out in under 20 seconds.

Great idea! I've been using a rubber strap wrench but this sounds like a better solution.

There have been a number of fixes posted for this. If you put “Basecamp table leg stuck” in the blue search box above, the results will show the fixes. Right now I can’t seem to post the URL.

Good luck,

Peter

I am his wife and I make up the beds and take them down! No taps or hits needed with the extra “O” rings. The tops just lift off. Easy pea set!

I find it easier to remove the low table top with the post still screwed to the floor.

Im interested in trying the extra O-ring solution. Our Basecamp is in storage, so would someone be so kind to tell me what size O-rings to order (or post a link)?

I ring on Basecamp table

Order the same size O ring that came with the trailer

Yeah, I posted that question 11 months ago and figured it out since. If anyone else is interested in trying out this solution, the product is 328 Silicone O-ring, 70A Durometer, 1 7/8" IN, 2 1/4" OD, 3/16" width.

We did not find that this solution was particularly helpful. The tabletops are still difficult to remove from the short legs. The extra O-ring maybe helps a little, but did not solve the problem in our case.
