1970 Control Panel Lights on all the time

3 Attachment(s)
So it has really gotten worse over the last year or so. The control panel lights for the black tank level, fresh water level, etc. come on when a light or the water pump draw current. Same thing happens when I go to check the level of the tanks by flipping the appropriate switch.

To get them to go off, I flip the water pump on and off OR the panel night light.

Any thoughts on what might be causing the problem OR what a suitable replacement set up might be using the existing sensors and wiring (and hopefully fitting in the same area) :o

It's most likely a bad ground

"1970 Safari" did you ever resolve the problem with your control panel? I have the same issue with mine, some of the tank level lights stay on all the time. It would be nice to have the control panel working again if possible.

Hi "DremStremer and "1970 Safari"

I have the same problem and would appreciate any help, as already said it would be nice to have it working.
In addition, it is on my to do list for this summer :-)

hello. as another poster said, check your grounds. also use a volt meter the find out where the lights are getting power while they are on. your wires look good. would not hurt to touch up all solder joints. kurt
