Twin beds

For those with twin bed models, what do you do for fitted sheets on the odd shaped mattresses? The ones we have seen are expensive. Do you just fold up a regular fitted sheet, or are there other options?

We just use regular fitted sheets and tuck the excess in the corner. They stay in place just fine. If you neeed more holding power, you could use sheet stays. A 4 pack is only a couple of bucks.

Fitted sheets with the elastic band all the way around work great. However, the custom mattress pads are worth the investment.

We do the same thing.

Order from Airstream Lifestyle. There is a left and right fitted sheet.

Shop at Bed Bath Beyond. Twin Long fitted, and I use the deep ones, works great. For the top I use a full size so I can tuck under the back wall edge. Then use the slide on bedding clips they sell to hold everything in place. BBB sells sheets in sets or separately so you can mix/match sizes. Multiple thread counts available. They always seem to have a 20% off coupon each month. Airstream Lifestyle are nice but more expensive. And if you add a topper or even like my other half, a 3 inch foam pad, then the BBB deep sheets are perfect.

Twin sheets from Target and matress pad suggestions for twins?

First, let me say we use Target extra long, organic cotton-- they come out around end of summer when school is about to start. Seems they do not stock all year in their stores, but when college starts, they sell "really well"! Also, believe they are less expensive then BBB.

Now for another question for Twin bed crowd: We are not totally comfortable with the "standard" twin mattress in our 25' FC. After 4-5 nights, we feel we are bottoming out and would like more cushion. We would like to get a good set of mattress toppers. Not sure which ones will add more "cushion" and improve quality of sleep. We have considered getting the 3" King size pad Costco carries, and just cutting down to size. Oh, and we also have considered ordering custom twin mattress for AS from an outfit in Utah that said they were around $1,600/pair for good quality. Lots of $$ for that solution...ie the question about a topper.
Any suggestions are appreciated...

You can order blocks of foam on-line in soft, med, firm... in the length, width and thickness you desire. Better than the AS mattress and cost is around $200+/-. Cut round end to fit with a knife.

For our twins....we bought some twin sheets and twin size comforters at Sears. They tuck in nicely. We leave the beds made up and at night use quality extra wide North Face sleeping bags ....and maybe a nice blanket on top. Morning comes....tuck bags away and fold up blankets.....no muss or fuss.
