Window Removal

I recently purchased a 72' Land Yacht. The more I dig in the more I find I need to replace. Such as window and door gaskets. Was wondering if there is an easy way to remove the windows without causing damage.
It sure would be nice to sit in a chair and apply the adhesive and new rubber gaskets.

I belive that the windows can be removed quite easily. First remove the knob on the end of the arms that raise and lower the window. Remove the screen. With the windows open you should be able to get to the window to "flip out" by lifting it past horizontial. Do this with care as it will fall out of the top track and you could drop it if you are not prepared.

The windows are hinged with an interlocking c shaped channel. By lifting it way up you are just unlocking the two c channels.

Installation is the reverse.

Prior to re-gasketing my entry door I used a dremel tool with a flapper wheel to get to clean aluminum for good adhesion. Saved hours of work removing old glue and weatherstripping that would just not come off. To remove the gaskets I reccomend a wide thin puttty knife.

Good luck

Thanks I'll try that.
I have an airgrinder and steel brush/wheel. I'll try that for removing the old glue and chunks of dried up gasket.

I am so motivated to get this thing into shape. I just don't have time to go to my 9-5 job. Oh well, got to be able to pay for all the parts and materials.
