Sheet Metal Fab Needed

I'm looking for someone to build a small and relatively simple sheet metal assembly based on a drawing I have.

I was hoping someone on the forum might know someone or have a recommendation how to find a small business or other reasonably priced shop.

I've tried Google, Craigs List, Porch.com and a few other things but mostly I get large high tech / production type shops.

Once I have my Battery Box mod project done I'll share with the forum.

A hot rod shop should have the tools to form up a simple sheet metal assy.

I would have the tools if I was in AR, but I will be in NM for a couple more months.

Superat stultitia.

:) Hi, try an air conditioner shop; Some of their employees are called sheet metal mechanics.

Our local hometown appliance dealer / installer does sheet metal work. You might check a similar place in your area.

Any local heating and air conditioner installer should be able to fabricate at a reasonable cost

Sheet Metal work

I would suggest looking up "Sheet Metal Workers Local #36" if your looking for a sheet metal shop near ,Ofallon , Missouri. Once on their website click on the "contractors" tab and a list of contractors will pop up. This should work anywhere in the United States and Canada simply by searching "Sheet Metal Workers Local ( put your city here )".

Aircraft sheet metal tech here for over 30 years in the trade. I have a few questions:

1- How big is your project?
2- Where are you located?
3- Does your drawing have all the dims, sheet metal type, gauge, and so on?

Let me know.

Find local metal suppliers and ask them if they could point you to a smaller fab shop that takes on smaller "one off" type jobs.

Thanks

Great inputs thanks all. I have a couple of great leads and am moving forward.

Look for a future new thread on my battery box height extension. I'll have pics, a drawing and share details for anyone wanting to accommodate either 27s or taller 6V batteries.
