Circular base on jack

Just purchased a 2015 FC twin rear bedroom and have installed a pro pride sway bar/weight distribution hitch 1400lbs. My question is about the circular foot on the jack. Do most of you with the pro pride find it necessary to remove the circular foot? or is it not necessary. I noticed on the install video Sean had removed his. Thanks

Our 2015 FC 25FB also came with one of those big round feet on the tongue jack rod. I removed mine immediately on the dealer's lot as it was in the way when I was installing the Hensley. We also use a "tongue twister" under the jack. It would not work with that pie plate on it.

Mine flat falls off when I raise the jack. I find that the space between the bars is a bit narrower than the jack base and I have to slip it in from the back. If you can retract it fully so it won't interfere with the WD bars in a turn it shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise, remove it. I put mine in the TV when we travel.

For that matter, the foot was in the way on our old non-ProPride WD hitch. It's hand in soft ground, however.

The foot is not attached, it should fall off when raising the jack. Unless it sticks as they often do, then knock it off.

Be sure to raise the jack post higher than the ProPride w.d. bars or they will contact the bars when making turns with the trailer. Not a good thing.

When we picked up our 2015 at the dealer, the pie plate was bolted to the jack shaft. It was easy to remove with w wrench.

Yes, I remove mine when driving. There is a pin to hold it so I reinstall it before unhitching.

I also use the tongue twister and have it placed on a 2x8 between it and the ground. Really helpful when hitching up the Pro Pride. My back up camera is great but a few twists of the tongue twister lines up the stinger and the head perfectly. While I'm at it, I painted the 2x2 part of the stinger bright orange and this makes quite a difference looking through the back up camera when hitching up in limited light.

My wife suggested painted something bright to see in the back up camera as you have done. Thanks will try you suggestion since it sounds like it works.:)

Thanks for the suggestions. I noticed the bolt holding the round thing on but wanted to check with you all before doing anything. Will check out the tongue twister.

My jack foot comes off and goes into the storage compartment when underway. I was under the impression they were all like this.

mine flew off after the second time I hitched up to the new Hensley. I mean 'flew off' when it got caught up on my W.D. bars on the way up. I carry a nice piece of 4x4 and it works well.

Well I learned about the tongue twister on this thread, after 2 years of the plain way. I have one coming this week!

Tongue Twister on ProPride

Pardon my ignorance, but what is this Tongue Twister? I have ProPride being installed in a few weeks on my 2015 FC 28.
