BoogieShoes and I just registered for CanOpener and RSVP'd. This is our first. Actually our first rally. Sounds like a fun time to be had. We are in site 68. Our Airstream is due off the line in October. We are excited!! BTW, only 3 sites left with 50 AMP.

AWCHIEF 07-16-2015 07:21 AM

Welcome, judyjudy, 30 amp will work for most that time of the year. Definetly want be running all those air conditioners. ⛄️

Panama Red 07-16-2015 07:28 AM

AWCHIEF, my one A/C handled the load very well last year. It cooled down the whole park. I don't think anyone else even had to run theirs...

Canopener 2016

Oh, and welcome to the madness, judyjudy!

-Red, having to edit because he forgot his tag line...

Well, apparently making maps AFTER doing psychedelic mushrooms is a bad idea... Here is the latest incarnation of the maps, and the RSVP page, with, hopefully, my hallucinogenic ramblings removed or repaired.

Now that Aerosmith has confirmed for the Saturday Night Campfire Sing-a-long, this Canopener is poised to go down in the history books as the most EPIC rally ever!

If you have a campground registration, and have not registered yet for the rally, please RSVP to the Rally Registration link below.

So, to summarize, we have a few people that have RSVP'd, but didn't list their site number or the names of members attending. Please check the RSVP page if you don't see your name listed on the map. The RSVP page is what they will make your official Canopener name tags from, so make sure you list the name of everyone in your party. Don't make me come find you...

-Red, lying about Aerosmith...

AWCHIEF 07-16-2015 11:49 AM

What are you feeding those Flamingos? They are breeding like rabbits or in this case Flamingos.

I'm not sure what's going on there, Chief, but it's starting to get out of hand. We may have to put a Flamingo Limit in place for this year's Canopener...

-Red, completely befuddled...

AWCHIEF 07-16-2015 12:05 PM

Careful or they are going to start migrating. Might have to get Ranger Fred involved in Flamingo control measures.

Awesome that Aerosmith has confirmed. I thought U2 was a little over the top when they played at Canopener a couple of years ago.

Panama Red 07-16-2015 03:42 PM

I felt the same way about U2... Now the year Clapton played all acoustic! That was freaking amazing!!! Hoping Aerosmith will just knock it out of the park.

-Red, fantasy rockin'...

At least this is not a Lawrence Welk crowd! JudyJudy and I will be rockin' to whatever. If BigRon at Foley gets AS to produce our trailer in time, we won't have to sleep in the truck...oh, and we still have to get the truck.

Boogie, just in case BigRon and Airstream let you down, and for some reason don't get your trailer produced in time, in the spirit of Canopenerian Brotherhood, I would like to offer to let you guys sleep in my truck.

Our apologies to the Canopenians staying in 118. We visited Topsail in May and our pup must have Attachment 243177 read the RSVP map wrong.

That's a good way to be a FORMER member of the VGTB Society...

-Red, calling for a vote...

Paddledipper 07-17-2015 09:04 AM

It's how they show their affection. She'll be eager to visit you at your actual site to correct her error.

Panama Red 07-17-2015 09:08 AM

You're camper is close enough to fling poo at...

Man, that escalated quickly.

-Red, chimpanzee boy...

Panama Red 07-17-2015 09:10 AM

I would say that mine would retaliate, but they'd both be pooping in my campsite... Dogs love me that way.
