Replacement for NT30

If I am correct the replacement for an NT30 is the NT30SP. Is this one shorter than the NT30? I have seen folks build boxes to put them on to get the correct height. This would actually be a good thing because then I can get it out after I put some floor covering in. Right now it is bolted directly to the floor. It is under the stove/oven. I would like to run another duct to the back of the trailer as well. There is one duct back there but the flow is not great due to the distance. The front of the trailer gets much hotter than the bedroom at the back. I am not sure I can get another tube back behind the bathroom.

Just for reference. The NT30SP which is a newer version of my 1981 vintage NT30M is an exact replacement. It went in with very little changes. The left vent which discharges into the living area was a little higher but I reversed the junction box for the vent and it fit perfect. Overall length and width are the same and the height of the intake and exhaust vents are the same.

Perry I'm in the market for a new NT30SP. Did you purchase your NT30SP online? Thanks!

Bob.

We learned the hard way, that Suburban does not pack those furnaces very well, resulting in damage.

Have one drop shipped to you from as close a source as you can.

Or, pick it up.

I was able to buy my furnace cheap from an RV salvage place here in Alabama that had some new old stock. The stuff is a little musty but the price was right. Andy is correct about the sheet metal being easily damaged. It is much thinner and softer than the old units. It was almost as bad as tin foil.
