Spokane & Eugene, Oregon campground suggestions??

Looking for suggestions on campgrounds in Spokane, Eugene, and the Redwoods areas.

I've no help to offer on Spokane. In Eugene, I like Premier RV CG. It's big and pretty generic but good quality. For the Redwoods, I like the Emerald Forest CG in Trinidad. It's not high end. Trinidad is great. It's a short drive from there to the redwood groves along the Milton Drury Scenic Parkway north of Orick, CA. Patrick Point SP north of Trinidad is an alternative, but sites offer no ocean views. If you're up for some hiking up and downhill, the Tall Trees Grove (permit required - obtain at the Visitor's Center in Orick) - is really special.
This is a wonderful destination.

We're booked for a night next week at Deerwood, just south of Eugene at the junction of I-5 and Hwy 58. Haven't stayed there yet, heard it was nice from a local. Heckuva recommendation, huh?:brows:

Yes! I have a Spokane recommendation- https://washington.goingtocamp.com/R...BowlandPitcher Riverside State Park- Bowl and Pitcher. It's gorgeous, with lots of biking and hiking. All only 5-10 min. away from Downtown Spokane which offers great restaurants, theater, nice mall, and great street shops for quirky shopping.

If you are going to Spokane area, consider Farragut State Park just across the line in Idaho. Farragut | Idaho Parks & Recreation
Only 50 miles NE of Spokane on very good freeway I-90 and up US 95 from Coeur d Alene. I have lived that area since 1971 and if you like lake and mountain scenery that is a place to go. Or consider Riverside State Park close to Spokane. Riverside State Park | Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. My choice would be Farragut. the websites will help you decide.

Funny you should ask. We are camped at Deerwood RV Park in Eugene. I am writing this post from site 28. We have camped here four times over the last several years. It is very nice and quiet. It's a little pricey; $32 for the standard sites and $40 for the premium sites.

We stay here primarily because the relatives that we come to Eugene to visit live close by.

There are five point hook-ups. Make sure that you have a 50 amp to 30 amp pigtail as all the electrical outlets are for 50 amp.

Here are a couple of pictures that I took this morning.

We just spent several days at a campground on Cottage Grove reservoir. Campsites were under tall trees and only a few feet from the water. Only a few minutes out of Eugene.

We are on the road now, just got to the Badlands. I have been keeping track of everyone's suggestions for camping. When in Eugene we will try to stay at Deerwood. So far the campgrounds we've stayed at have been pretty empty. Wondering if that'll be the case once we get to Eugene and the coast in early Oct?? Anyway, thanks for your post & pics!

There is a county park on the outskirts of Eugene on Coberg Rd. called Armitage Park. The sites are huge, there are trails, it's on the McKenzie River. You can find it by searching Lane County Parks. The hookups there are less than five years old, not sure but I think it has cable. Bonus, it's about two miles from Costco. Back in the day it used to be an Oregon St. Park.

We were in site 51 at Deerwood last week while having work done at AM Solar. We had 30 and 50 amps there. The premium sites under the trees in back are very nice.
