Lug Nuts

Will these lug nuts fit the stock 14 inch aluminum wheels on a 2006 Safari LS 23?

Robot Check

Not sure why it says Robot Check, but the link is good.

Looks right. I wonder is Napa or another tire place could help out...

I replaced the 1/2 inch wheel nuts on my new International 23 D last week when I went from 14 to 15 inch wheels and tires.

Half of the nuts were cracked on their outer shell. Price at America's Tire/Discount Tire was $35 for 20 shiny new ones.

That outer shell is just a decorative bright cover to look good with your aluminum wheels. It will be a hassle when / if the outer cover gets stripped and your lug wrench slips on it. In a pinch it can be removed ( yes, it happened to me) by cutting it with a small sharp chisel and tearing it off. You can then use an appropriate sized socket to remove it. These work well until they don't. There are better ones out there. If your new ones are of similar design you might be wise to carry a small chisel and a pair of side cutters in your toolbox for that moment that might never come.

I recently had my tires replaced. Most of the nut covers came off or had to be taken off by the shop. Cheap pieces of crap. More example of cost cutting by Thor/Airstream. I have found several local places that have quality replacements at reasonable prices.

OK next wheel question. Where can I purchase the center wheel covers? I am missing one.

Interstateflyer... What was the part number that you ordered? Thanks.

Hey Chief. Check online with any wheel supply place. Measure so that you know the size. I think you can get them in chrome or SS.

They forgot to put them on my original invoice with the wheels and tires so I didn't see a part number when I paid separately.

I'd take one of your wheels nut to the supplier and have them match. get as high quality as you can.
