Slow forum home page?

It seems that the home page is loading slowly. I am guessing it is the call to photo database that is causing this delay. Are the rest of y'all seeing this also?

Regards,

Andy

It is slower for me, too, and I use broadband...

BUT I AM NOT COMPLAINING!

I love this Forum!

At times I will see just the tool bar load, with the forums tab and that is it. Hit refresh and the whole thing loads. Does not happen often, just once in a while

Yep, I've noticed it as well.... Wonder if the extra traffic generated by "Sasser" has anything to do with it...

yup it is slow, top loading then a long delay for the rest of the page...today is the first time though...I am patient...I would like to see the HOME option all all pages...this is a great forum... :) ok, I just noticed that when the home page is loading it is listed as "www.airstreamforum.com/?" with that "?" at the end of the listing, it apparently it is "lost" for a few minutes and needs to be reprogrammed...that is my thought... :) hope that helps...

There's some delay in the new Ads by Google. All pages, but particularly the home page, load a lot slower than they used to. Originally, the page would time out and skip the ads, leaving just a white space, but now it seems to hang until it gets them.

I am pretty sure it is because it has to connect to the 2nd database for the photos. I get the Google Ads then the delay. Hmmm, I'll look into it and figure it out... Thanks for your feedback. I am going to go ahead and close this thread since it sounds like quite a few of you are experiencing it.
