I love photos of trailers long forgotten, like the one here that I found somewhere on the internet. Does anyone have any pictures they would share?

If you go to Flickr and search for "abandoned trailer", you'll get lots of great images.

Kevin, I actually have that rear window rock guard. I bought it from a member here on the forums who lives in Yakima, Wa. and was parting out this abandoned '68 Tradewind trailer. What a small world!!! Ed

You're a lucky guy, that makes the trailer look really cool!!

Lots and lots of abandoned "stuff" out there. Just have to get off the interstates to see it. There are a couple of Airstreams that I know about that I have to assume were put where they were as fishing or hunting camps. One has an oak tree growing up through the A frame. It is not going to be moving anytime soon. It is off of old US 301 in Halifax County NC. Need to try to remember to take pictures next time I am up that way.

In many ways it is sad that we are such a wasteful society that we can't fix and repair things, just buy more and then trash it later. We are in the process of combing our acreage for abandoned equipment and other scrap to turn in for cash money.:brows: So far the total is over $3k and climbing. NO! NOT the Airstream!

Aaron :)

I would love to see a pic of the "oak tree airstream"

The waste is sad, and when you see one abandoned you think of all the good times someone had that ended... sad also. But there is also something beautiful about these forgotten rigs.

We found this one on Orr's Island, Maine this month. One of many we've seen on the road over the years.

A whole graveyard Frank, really cool. You need to get that scotty out of there and restore it, looks like a highlander.

Zoomin, that one looks too new/good to have been abandoned, when I see one like that It always makes me wonder what happened. Of course it could be serious damage that you cant see.

Darn it Bob now you went and found another pic that I'll have to frame, enlarge and put in my Tradewind!
