What year is the 911? I owned Nine-Eleven Enterprises in Dallas for 40 years. I can still remember engine r&r using a floor jack on a '69 911T and a '73 911S. I got spoiled after owning the shop but I still could do it with a jack.

    Richard,

Thanks for your answers. My 345 has a Chevvy 454 engine. I don't think I've seen a device like you've describe. I'll look again. The pump seems to be getting power only when the truck engine is running. I haven't tried yet to see if it also gets power from the coach batteries. Yesterday was the first time I noticed the problem.

I appreciate your help. I too have some switches that I don't know what they're for. Not many Airstream classic MH owners around Reno to talk to.

    Again, many thanks,
    Gene

Hi tevake, I don't know if you can help me but I noticed that my '88 345 water pump was working when I started the engine. It's been sitting in storage for a few months and I started it to be sure my battery was still charged. I hadn't turned on my house batteries so I was surprised that the water pump was working. It might be normal, but I never noticed it before. Do you know if it's supposed to run whenever the truck engine does? I'm really a newbie with this vehicle. I've only taken it out twice.

Hi! I just saw your post in reference to Ft. Bragg to Bodego Bay trip. We purchased a 1994 Airstream 360 Classic Diesel Pusher in 2014, and are getting the feel of handling her on different terrains. I previously had a GM Class A 27', so this has been a very exciting upgrade. We also try to vacation at Big Sur and San Francisco at least every other year. We have often talked about taking a motor home down Highway 1, it's such a beautiful drive. Your story touched be not only because of the fact you have taken your Airstream on this route, but also because last year, we vacationed in Big Sur, and we went horseback riding in Morrow Bay. My beloved of 12 years proposed marriage that day! I would love to hear more of your trip!
