    ditto,
Sorry to respond so slowly. I wish you the very best as you dig into your 89 Excella. I may be writing you for suggestions in a year or so. I've camped and explored Waterton, Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada in the past twenty years. However, I am keenly interested in exploring the Maritime Provinces and New England in the next several years.

My friend Ralph and I will start back on my trailer next Thursday and Friday. We've had a hard winter here this years and my wife has had shingles for the past several weeks, so I've not started the work yet.

    All my best,

    Steve

Steve, Just read your entire saga in one evening. Simply... thank you. I have an 89 Excella 1000 (34') that's due for a major overhaul. Am having the frame inspected this month (belly pan off) to ensure no major corrosion before even considering the task.

Anyhow, I saw that you may travel to Eastern Canada (Maritimes). My family all live in Nova Scotia and I've travelled the provinces (NS, NFLD, NB, PEI) extensively. If you would like some suggested places to visit, just email me.

    Cheers, ditto

    skydiva,
Take a look at this post on my Leaks and Floor Rot thread https://www.airforums.com/forums/f36/...ml#post1084143. You can see what I did to seal the Fantastic Fan vents (not all of this may be applicable to your situation as I had the Kool-O-Matic rear vent). I would also think that it would be incumbent upon the installer to address any leaks, but that may or may not work out.

Which fitting do you need for your water heater? I'll send you a PM with my phone number if you want to make a list of questions that we can discuss over the phone.

    All my best,

    Steve

    Hi Steve
Yes, we do indeed also have a 1991 34' Limited. Looking for a new brass fitting for our water heater (not sure what type as our RV in currently in storage, soon to be released . Where does one look? We also are having leak problems in our overhead Fantastic Fan vents, although they were newly installed.
Wondering about certain tapes to prevent future leaks.
    Your thoughts?
