Just back from two great days in Cheaha (CHEE-ha) State Park, about 25 miles south of Anniston, Alabama.
We stayed at the Upper Campground on top of the mountain, which, at 2407' is the highest point in Alabama. Easy parking with 43 sites available in the Upper Campground, with many pull-through and easy back-in, too. Great hiking all around. The Boardwalk, about 1/4 mile away, is a fantastic hike to a point looking toward Anniston. Visibility was 100+ miles this week. They had...

Had a hard to close pocket door from the mid-bath to rear bedroom. Removed the top wooden crosspiece (just two screws) and used a box wrench to raise the rear holder. Works fine now.
Also moved the folding table near the front door to the port side of the coach--now it works with the reclining chairs a previous owner installed to replace the gaucho. Much better arrangement of everything, and only five screws to remove and reinstall. Nice to have the use of the table too!

Just spent a weekend in Twinkle ('94 30' AS Classic) at Lake Martin, near Auburn, Alabama. Took in part of the Auburn game, had a great evening with our daughter from Montgomery.
Drove north on Alabama 49 to Cheaha (pronounced CHEE-ha) State Park, the highest point in Alabama. Absolutely beautiful country, thought we were in New Mexico for a while from the beauty. The highest point is a mere 2407 feet, merely a speed bump in the Rockies, but a beautiful area. Will be camping there...
