Hi Sid and Bonny! Well, it only took me about two years to reply to your kind message! But I didn't know enough to spot it on the AS Forums and just now stumbled onto it. Many apologies for seeming to ignore you. My shakedown trip went well and the greyhounds are big fans of "camping" with all the luxuries the AS affords. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your travels and made it back safe and sound to Texas in the end. Warm regards -- Kelly

I think the place in PA seems to be the best. I am now thinking I will just buy a new Dometic from PPL and insert a maple front panel stained to match my cabinets...

Shpere - I've found both items - the Hehr window and the sofa. The man doing the renovation of my '54 Cruiser took the sofa out of a trailer some guy had brought him to renovate, then changed his mind & didn't seem to want the sofa. The window he found somehow via ebay, when I'd had NO luck at all.

Sure missed seeing ya'll at the Christmas & New Years gathering in Johnson City. Only Bruce & Roseann Wood & Sean & Rhondi & I, but it sure was fun - quiet, some vino, way too many snacks & food & a few ball games. Hope all is good with ya'll, and I wish you both a healthy fun filled 2012.

You're right on about the value of the trailer in that condition. Sadly, it almost sounds like a parts trailer unless someone with huge skill sets can pick it up for that $1,500. His $3K is wishful thinking.

I need a Hehr window, period correct to the mid 1950's, approx. 18"x18 to 20'ish". I'd need the entire window - outside trim, window & all mechanism(s) and the interior trim, including the opening / closing arm or handle if it a crank type. #2 wish is a for a Flexsteel sofa bed (must open like a jack-knife) and measures a tad less than 70" wide and 60" when the bed is fully open. Cosmetic condition not important - I'd have new seating foam & upholstery done anyway. Needs to be close (<500 miles) to save on shipping.

I missed spending some time with ya'll at Johnson City. See ya'll at the Blanco gathering??
    Jim
