Hi
I would love to get back to Branson sometime. I was there for a Hensley Rally about 5 years ago. Unfortunately we have a show in Toronto the same weekend so it won't be this time. I notice in your picture you have a 75 29'. That is a pretty rare model.

A couple of things:
1. Vintage Trailer Supply is out of TremPro 636 (Vulkem). They usually get $7.36 + shipping for a tube. I found a case price from an outfit in Elkhart, IN, (imagine that!) that will sell me a case of 30 tubes for $94.80 + $22.62 shipping. That works out to $3.16 apiece + about .75 each for shipping or $3.92 apiece delivered. That is roughly 1/2 what the retail price is. I'm a VTS but I'm also a fan of saving a buck when I can.
I don't know how many tubes a guy would need for a full restoration but I'm guessing at least one per window and several for other stuff. Any ideas on that? I'm planning on taking up your nice invitation to visit your Branson event which brings me to:
2. I've got an even better deal on split seasoned hickory (and maybe a little apple for flavoring-I'm a smoking fan, too) in the event you need some. I saw some conversation about getting wood but I don't remember how that turned out. Anyhow, I wouldn't be able to get there until about 8:00 on Friday night but I'd be happy to bring you a bunch of wood unless it would be too late to start smoking. Either way I would bring the Vulkem as long as you promised not to throw it on the fire!
Let me know if any or all of these ideas might work for you.

I worked several hours on you a webpage..just something to throw on the site. I couldn't get the FTP to upload it and I tried SEVERAL times. I even tried building one with there templates but didn't like the look at all.
We have been very busy this weekend working on the crappy camper and getting NOWHERE! We had all these big plans none of which happened. That's seems to Parr for any job you plan to do i guess. It always takes a lot longer than you think it will.
We did however manage to get the tub out! YEAH! We have been patching the pipes that were frozen last winter off and on for several months and have now decided since the walls are back down and the tub is gone and the stool is out and the cabinets can be removed before we button them up for good, we are going to rip out all the plumbing and pex the whole damn thing. We talked about it and thought we would be fools not to at this point. We feel so much better about the plumbing doing it with Pex Pipe.
Of course the guy that has all the tools and fittings is out of town right now so we are at a stand still. I think It would be better to replace the pipes as we go instead of ripping everything out and wondering how it goes back.
Can you help me find a post of a guy that redid his AS with pex pipe. He posted Really good pictures of everything, close ups too. I have looked on the forum and google and can not find it. I think the link I had to it was on my other computer.
He had gutted the AS and ran pex.
Thank you Steve. Send our best to Amy and Collin!

PS....We are coming to a ballgame Sat. night and have 2 extra tickets. Great seats a few rows up on the 1st base line by the dugout. Jack's company built the Cardinals Stadium for the AAA team and worked close with the manager and owners of the St. Louis Cardinals so all he has to do is make a call and BAM..we have pretty good seats.
The couple that were going with us had a death in the family and can not make it so we thought of you guys since you are close.
Let me know ASAP...

I am good at getting nothing done, I surely do not need to travel to do that. I am also good at getting more than my share done too.

hey, thanks for your note! Glad you enjoyed our blog. And thanks for all you do, too. From a cursory look at your profile, I'm assuming you serve! My sister is a Navy doc.

1) no lumps due to you, due to me sending "the ass" messages mixed into his karma, like I sent you.
2) my father was a career military man. I know all about lumps. I know about lumps upon lumps....
3) 63 or earlier. After Wally died it is all down hill. I recommend 58 - 63 for those are the prime years in my no even remotely humble opinion.
4) Praise, thanks gratitude... they are things one can NEVER give enough of. You have a youngin and you should always keep that in mind. Not enough of those things and you will become an ass like 2Air. I want to find a photo of him and have it printed on toilet paper. It would sell like hot cakes...

I hope so... meeting up,.... The reason I sent you a warning is because I recieved lumps...

Hey brother, I appreciate the thanks and agree 100% with the sentiment, but be careful what you post. I have been warned formally that all messages, including PM's and karma and this right now can be viewed by moderators. Like I said, I agree with the sentiment 100%, no 11 hundred %. But THEY are watching.
