Hi there, I see you have a 76 argosy, I have a question I hope you don't mind mind me asking. Did you restore your AS? We recently bought a 75 argosy that needs some work. So we're in the process if figuring out what to do first? What can we salvege? What definitely needs replacing and how long will this take. Off course you don't know our situation but is there anything you can recommend to us? Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for the suggestion on the LG a/c. It looks like it would do the trick. Is there something that goes outside, as well? If so, where was it mounted? Thanks for your help. It's going to be a huge savings.

Hello Bernie, long time , no talk.

I'm in Hanoi tonight, having seen old US ARMY uniforms for sale in an antique and curio market and AMERICAN wine, in it's own section, in a giant supermarket here today. Fascinating how times change. We live with our old stereotypes about things until they are shocked out of us.

When I get home at the end of April I am going to finally do something about finding a new owner for my rig, instead of just talking about it.

    Thanks for being in touch.

    Sergei,
Just pluggin' through the forum. Our Argosy sits unloved in our driveway. I finally got back up skiing this season for the first time since 2008 and several times wished I'd been able to drag the trailer up to the hill. Hopefully motivation this summer to get her back on the road. What's up with you; did you run off and join the circus?

Hi Segei, I have a 22 ft airstream and was going to take that god awful roof ac off and install a split zone ac when I came across your post. What is the brand or name of the unit you used? how many BTUs and THANK you for any input!
I was contemplating using a Ramsond 12,000 BTU unit, their indoor unit complements the style of cabinets we have.

Thanks a million. John Hoyt. Please contact: jhoyt@myfairpoint.net

Hi, Sergei, I just logged on and found your message. Yes! What a wierd race. I am so relieved. Four more years!I have been out of touch, working a very crazy holiday temp job at Amazon.com fulfillment center. If the volume of items moved in a few weeks is any indication, the economy should be booming. Our center shipped over 12 million items. I assume they were mostly Christmas presents. I walked sometimes 15, 20 miles in a 10-hour shift. I kept recalibrating my pedometer, I didn't believe it, but blisters and shin splints confirmed the numbers.
I mention the job to connect back to the election. I am not really expecting Mr. President can turn around a global crisis, but if the GOP will cooperate, maybe some improvement can happen. I'm in my fourth year of under- and unemployment. The Amazon job was a good find, but it is not likely to become permanent. Who knows?
    Happy New Year

    Hi Sergi
Craig Dorsey here. Thanks for stoppin in to see me last month, it was a pleasure meeting you. So you think it's a small world, this makes it even smaller. I was just cleaning up some old bookmarks from years ago and ran across a link to a posting that you started back in May 2005 when you were wanting to build your trailer with Diesel! I found it of interest at the time and made note of it. Small world.

    Take care

Hi! I see you have an Argosy and have made quite a few comments on threads about the interior walls. Quick question, I have a 26ft 1973 Argosy and I loathe my walls, they're a pukey yellow and sticky. I know some members have done a good clean and used oil based paint. My question is, I want to remove the vinyl wallpaper all together. Is there aluminum walls behind the wallpaper that can be used as the normal walls? I've seen threads where AS owners have done this, but I'm not sure if Arogsy's differ in this manner.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    BTW your Argosy looks amazing!!!
