Sorry to get back to you so late!! I tell you I haven't camped there for several years. When my husband and I went we stayed at a park run by the state,outside of Spirit Lake. As far as the ones in town they were very active, we fished and that type of thing, then drove into town to sight see.

My wife and I are planning to travel out to the Spirit Lake IA area from 6-30 through 7-6. I've looked around and found a couple of RV Parks in the area but it appears that there is alot of activity that week and not many spaces available. Do you know of any campgrounds/rv parks that we could try to reach for vacancy?

My rig is doing good, a man has me a little worried though, he says it is very rare, and maybe I should sell it to a collector, and get something smaller. I am wondering maybe I should sell it and get something else so it doesn't fall apart and end up in a junk yard. That would be a shame. But I really like it, not sure what to do.
