Hey Mike - long time, no hear from. We met at Quartzite back on Turkey Day, 2009. We played desert golf with Richard for a few holes. I took a 24-month overseas gig in May 2010 and came home last June. Just getting caught up on stuff and thought I'd drop you a quick message to say, "hello." We saw Richard and Jan at the Balloon Fiesta and in Cortez in October - its good to be getting back into Airstreaming again after being away so long. Hope Tracy and you are doing well. Cheers, Art - Placitas, NM

Hi Mike and Tracy, Currently at Hobo Rally in Blythe. Plan to go to 4cu rally at deadhorse. Thought I might hang out at Quartzsite for a few days. Would like to see you all. Also, I have a new puppy you haven't met. Her name is Airabelle.

I highly recommend early retirement with fewer financial benefits, as it will add so much more to your health and enjoyment of life...you can adjust your income to your way of life, but adjusting your way of life to your income is so much more satisfactory...Ken, I thank you for your response, and want all you folks out there to know that I'm NOT dumping the tank in the wilds, but I might dump my personal 'tank' in a trench to be covered...it will be far away from the campsite, and deep ...mostly, I use the pit toilet provided by the BLM, but sometimes the walk exceeds the safe return to the home environs...got Kleenex in my pocket...that's why...I sincerely hope Ray is NOT just indiscriminately parking his butt and pooping as the ground lays, as this is a poor land management exercise...most campers exercise the rudimentary control of at least burying their waste...by the way, toilet paper biodegrades much faster than the plastic bags it is so thoughtfully placed in...mike

As we get closer to Thanksgiving the weather looks as if we should be cold but clear--so a few questions about event. First (and most important)--what should we bring for the Thanksgiving feast/event? other than beer/wine of course. Second, as we have winterized the AS Gary is thinking we should redo this prior to heading back to the frigid weather we have been having. As we are newbies any ideas/thoughts would be great. We're currently in the low 40's and then the teens at night and having to go through Flag he thinks it'd be better to be safe. He's blown out the lines with his air compressor as well as the RV pink stuff--is there a place to clear the lines down in Quartzite? Seems we shouldn't be the only ones to have to return to cold. Planning on leaving on Sunday. Thanks. Oh--the dog asked about dogs coming. I assume it's just fine.

Thanks, Mike! Planning on seeing you all at the Picacho (SP?) NYE gig in a few weeks. Learned a lot from all you AS pros. I've even ordered a full set of window covers from TB and Greg - should be done by Picacho. Best to you and lovely wife! Velcro says, "WOOF"!... ABF
