    Barry,
    I have been reading conflicting opinions on WD hitches. My Caddy rides low in the rear with no weight at all. I am having some different springs installed to make me level or a little high in the rear. Andy from inland RV recommends an 800 # dual cam Reese. My friend in the RV business sells both Reese and Equal-i-zer recomends the 600 # EQLZR.
    Most folks do not pull with a vintage car. Do you have a WD hitch. Any recomendations?

    Glad it was a good time Milo. It is nice you have a place to go and relax while watching high tech goodies being put to work. We are hopeful that we can get some desert dust on the dash or the car and on the trailer this coming year. Will let you know if we are able to head that way. All the best of the season to you guys. Barry, QTown was a hedonistic orgy of food, campfires, laughter and a beverage or two. On the Monday morn after Tday Bam, Str8stream joined Karen and I into California's high desert and we stayed Mon. night on a five acre piece of property Karen and I had sold to a friend of ours about 300 yards from the Marine base fence. So we had a helicopter, Humvee and truck show to watch as we goofed off. Monday ended around the campfire.

    In short the drive was gorgeous and everywhere we stopped we were surrounded by Airstreams. We had a great time. Naturally as a desert rat I loved being out in it for six days.

    Yep.. 1985 GW, that was the TV we had when we got the 63 Safari back in 89.
    Not the best tv though, no POOP, hardly make it up the driveway. Looked good though.

    Hey Gerr. Congratulations on the TCT role. You guys will do a great job of it. We typically hang out just south of the border given our nearness to the border and my limited travel ability so can't offer up much for suggestions in the lower mainland. We were booked for the confined spaces rally but had to bow out because of the distance. We were very disappointed. Hopefully by next year I'll be able to make it that distance without to many issues. I suspect Pat will take a numbers hit in September and he must realize that although I know we had folks at the open house saying that it is too bad it wasn't closer to a town so he may get a different group than he has had in the past. We are pretty open to anything within a couple of hours driving time. Anything beyond that is touch and go for me for now. Keep us posted on what is happening. I know Lee, Greg, Rob, Ricky and the others who have joined us will be interested in a local event and also if something else comes up as well. Barry

    Yes Barry we are aware of the changes. We are not very happy about it. Having gone to all the events but the 1st one. Unfortunately it will leave a lot of key people out because of back to school issues. Patrick says he was not treated well by the log show grounds. We believe him but I wish he would let us all try to help and work all the issues out but he says no. He will never go back. We will try to support his event in September but we have just come back from the month of September on the road. We went to the confined spaces rally and were hoping to do it again next year as well as 2 other rallys in Ore and Calif. Patricks rally has always been our highlight for the year!!!! We are very disappointed. Now that we are the TCT reps for Western Canada we are going to try and do a rally in the spring somewhere in the Fraser Valley.If you have any suggestions feel free to let us know. I will keep you posted. Also some other concerned fellow ralliers have actually reserved Deming on Pats usual weekend for a smaller rally in August. When I know the details i will also let you know. We are just feeling out responses at the moment to see if people would like to camp that weekend as well Pats new date.

    Hi Barry;

    Thanks for the Karma....

    Hope you are doing well and had a great Thanksgiving Weekend!!!!

    We just got back from probably our last trip of the year - no plans for heading out this winter - far too much to do at home to catch up on our semi unlucky year of happenings. But things are picking up again and we are finally enjoying good health and happiness - long time coming....but bracing ourselves for a good old Canadian Winter
