So, did you sell your Bambi? We did our X-C trip starting in mid-June. Shortened the time we were to spend in the mid-west both going to see Sandy's brother in TN where we spent a little over 2 weeks, as well as coming back to CO for the first of August. The Cloud did well, and we averaged about 12.5 mpg for the 8,000 miles. Strong winds along the Columbia River blew open the outdoor shower's door-cover and we managed to yank loose the shower head and hose.

Sorry to hear and see all the flooding in your neck of the country.

We just got back from 18 days Costa Rica, sans A/S. We went for a birding adventure as well as a watercolor painting class for Sandy.

Glad to hear your new Tundra worked well. We, too, have stayed at Gilbert Ray in Tucson and really liked it. Haven't stayed at Catalina SP yet. Usery is also our favorite in Phoenix. Don't know that we will make it there this next winter as we have a tandem bike tour planned for New Zealand in Jan 2012.

Stay in touch. We will let you know more about our summer x-c trip as we finalize the route.

Its been snowing all day here in Eugene, and we have about 3 inches at the house while the city has melted off. Needed the 4x4 to get out of our driveway this AM and also down the unsanded city street.

We had a quiet Thanksgiving in Eugene, but are now in Boise at our daughter's for Christmas. Glad to hear you like your new Tundra. And now that you're upsizing, you sound like us LOL Our plans for now are a cross-country trip to TN to see Sandy's brother, with us leaving in May. We have plans to be back in CO the end of July, so we may see you one way or the other. Looking forward to crossing paths again.

Safe travels to you both as well,
    Hugh & Sandy

Are you guys off to the SW this winter? Finally got the FC winterized just before the below freezing temps hit - we also had snow this AM up on top of the hill. Have a Happy Turkey Day. Did you ever get a new truck?

We just got back a couple of days ago from 9 weeks in Spain and France. Was a blast except for the extra rain we got when riding our tandem bike. Sandy got a cold, but is recovering from it. At least we weren't in the areas with the floods. We are off to a tandem rally for the 4th, and then we head to the Rockies near Denver to volunteer for a couple of weeks with Easter Seals. We will be home this winter as we are planning a cross-country trip next spring/summer.
